American Water Summit - A Better Future For USA Water Industry

On November 3rd, The Global Water Intelligence (GWI) held it's first American Water Summit in Washington DC to discuss and evaluate the new environment and new direction of the American water industry. Among CEOs from major water companies like Veolia, GE and American Water, the top level summit included keynote speeches from Robert Kennedy Jr, currently serving as Chief Prosecuting Attorney for the Hudson Riverkeeper and President of the Waterkeeper Alliance.

As USA water industry faces growing challenges in terms of political and financial support, scarcity, and infrastructure renewal, the American Water summit was the first conference to foster the exchange of views and opinions from water companies, leaders in academia, policy-makers, and government officials.
A perfect blend of informal networking and good (in-depth in some cases) presentations.
- Jorge Arroyo, Director of Special Projects, Texas Water Development Board
This is the best event in the industry: very useful, very well run and most enjoyable.
- Christopher Asselineau, Simmons and Simmons

Jay-Z LIVE on FORA.tv

On November 15th at 7:00pm EST on FORA.tv, LIVE from the New York Public Library presents 10-time Grammy Award winning artist, entrepreneur, and musical icon Jay-Z in conversation with author Cornel West and Director of LIVE from NYPL, Paul Holdengräber.

Jay-Z will discuss his new autobiography DECODED, and share his thoughts on growing up as a hustler and feeling judged simply because of where he was from. For JAY-Z, lyrics aren't just about songs, they're about life, and in DECODED he brings his own story to life, writing about his journey from Brooklyn's notorious Marcy Projects to becoming a world-class artist, cultural icon, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.

When I first started working on this book, I told my editor that I wanted to do three important things. The first was to make the case that hip-hop lyrics-not just my lyrics, but those of every great MC-are poetry if you look at them closely enough. The second was that I wanted the book to tell a little bit of the story of my generation, to show the context for the choices we made at a violent and chaotic crossroads in recent history. And the third piece was that I wanted the book to show how hip-hop created a way to take a very specific and powerful experience and turn it into a story that everyone in the world could feel and relate to. - Jay-Z, from DECODED.

Jay-Z will be joined by Matrix actor and august Princeton professor Cornel West and Director of LIVE from the NYPL, Paul Holdengräber. LIVE from the NYPL is the public programming series at The New York Public Library. With a mission to provoke, engage, enlighten, instigate and agitate the mind, LIVE is: provocative conversations, real debates, irresistible performances, original ideas.

We hope you enjoy the live stream and remember to join us on Facebook and Twitter to get the latest news, updates, and information about videos in FORA.tv.
