Watch The New Yorker Festival Oct 1/2/3 LIVE on FORA.tv


FORA.tv is pleased to announce that select programs from The New Yorker Festival can be viewed LIVE, as they happen from October 1-3, and on-demand following the event.

The New Yorker Festival, now in its eleventh year, brings together a distinguished group of writers, thinkers, artists, and other luminaries, and covers topics including film, music, politics, economics, architecture, fashion, and literature. Atul Gawande, Stephen King, Paul Krugman, Cynthia Nixon, Zadie Smith, Regina Spektor, are among the many speakers who will take the stage for conversation and debate.

The Festival begins Friday October 1 at 7 pm EDT and runs through the weekend with the last program starting Sunday October 3 at 4pm EDT. Event passes are available for $59.95 and provide access to the live streams of all programs, as well as on-demand viewing for 30 days from date of purchase. Single Program Passes are available for $4.95 and provide access to the live stream and on-demand viewing for 30 days from date of purchase.

Watch Jonathan Lethem LIVE from the NYPL at 7pm EDT Tonight!

Jonathan Lethem will join Paul Holdengräber for a conversation as he bids farewell to his friends and fans at his last event before leaving for his appointed position as the Roy Edward Disney Professor in Creative Writing at Pomona College in California.

Jonathan Lethem is the author of seven novels, including The Fortress of Solitude and Motherless Brooklyn, which won the National Book Critics Circle Award. Jonathem Lethem is a recipient of the MacArthur Fellowship and his most recent book is Chronic City.

DRUDGE REPORT on Janet Napolitano



At today's Monitor Breakfast, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano admitted to reporters that 'she'd made it,' when asked about the nickname 'Big Sis' given her by the Drudge Report.

While 'Big Sis' is the female equivalent of Big Brother from George Orwell's 1984, and perhaps not exactly a compliment, the Secretary appears to take it in stride.
